We are training to start our own Woodworks business. Everyone is welcome to the evening classes M-W-F and weekends too if you plan ahead with Andy (788-3148).  Classes start at 5:30 and go to around 7:00 PM. Rhonda has made cedar and spruce bowls and vases with the Ringmaster. Kevin and Rhonda are the first to make wooden pens with Andy Maslofski, visiting Physicians Assistant for SEARHC. Andy is an accomplished wood worker who volunteered his time from October through November to train community members and students in various wood craft projects. His wooden and deer antler pens sell for lots of money and we are hoping to have some to sell at the Thanksgiving Bazaar. We will also have wooden Christmas tree ornaments and Ringmaster bowls. Also wooden animal puzzles! Thank you to our workshop teacher Andy and to everyone who’s donated time and equipment for our projects.

Thank you for our recent donations from VPSO Charlie Hartzell (deer antlers!) and Carver Jamie Daniels (scroll saw!). Jim Parkin also loaned his scrollsaw for the trainings. The High School is trading shop space for afterschool woodshop for students, so students 8-18 are welcome to attend. Thanks to Principal Hill for helping us work on the shop machines and to get the lathe working for the wooden pens.
